Timington - Different Voices

Timington is somewhat of a local legend; the guy who plays extraordinarily long songs on guitar at open mics, wearing a top hat. He's also venturing further into the production world and this latest interesting compilation is testament to his persistent randomness. He started with an instrumental piece and rather than just stick with one vocalist to complete the track, he's opted for two very different sounding artists, with completely contrasting takes. James Lane (Tomb) gives us some prog rock/metal style vocals with obligatory growl, and Olha Lishchyshyn (Know) provides some sweetness and light with smooth, angelic breathiness. Same backing track, two very different songs. As always with Timington, he throws in elements of confusion where it fades so much you think the track is over, but no - there's more. Dynamics are extreme in his production and it's something you'll understand and get used to if you listen to more of his growing catalogue of the weird and wonderful. And in case anyone feels the need to create their own version, the original instrumental is also included as the third track.
