Wynona - Somebody Else's

Wynona have already forged themselves a distinctive sound that is instantly recognisable, although in quite an exciting twist the announcement of this single includes a tease of a change of style for their writing going forward. With dreamy vocals, rhythmic guitar riffs and an overall ethereal but hooky vibe to the chorus, Somebody Else's takes a subject that we can all relate to in some way and make it beautiful. The song seems to say - you've seen the lightest and darkest parts of me, and because of the fact that you stay anyway I can't imagine anyone else ever being quite so loving and accepting as you are, because even I struggle to accept the 'me' that I have become. An anthem for relationship imposter syndrome, perhaps. I don't think I've ever heard anything from Wynona that isn't top class arrangement and production, and they're equally beautiful in a live context too. Sadly I can't find any upcoming gigs to recommend for you here, but I'd say they're certainly ones to watch.
