What a banger. This debut from zakharleyxavier hits in all the right places - catchy drum loop intro, great production, big chorus - I could go on. It's like Zak sat down with his producer, Jake Mckenzie, and listed all the components of the finest pop/rock songs and sought to include them all when writing and arranging this track. I hear a hint of Royal Blood as a potential influence so if you're a fan of the slightly heavier vibe, then this is most certainly a tune for you to listen to. Having heard the modern psychedelic sounds of Zak's previous alter-ego, self-produced Glitterbed, I have to admit that this was not what I was expecting. A prime example of how a musician does not need to stick to one genre, but can indeed be excellent at several.
