It's here! The new album by Si Connelly. I haven't had to wait for this because I'm on his Patreon (I mean what would you expect, I was literally his top listener on Spotify in 2025 - but in reality I'd rather he became more well known!) but now it's available to everyone.
Please go and have a listen if you like stripped back acoustic vibes, great songs and a great voice. You will not be disappointed. It's a beautiful album, especially the song 'Paper bird' which, you guessed it, inspired the name of this blog.
Connelly weaves so much emotion into every line, ultimately pouring out a heart that has suffered setback after setback in the music industry. Even the title of the album, 'Loneliness in the Making' is an ode to a solo troubadour, who continues to wow small audiences regularly despite having a voice that could easily fill a concert hall.
I sincerely hope that this album marks the beginning of a new recognition of his talent, which has already started with Dom Joly having him perform at his Speakeasy. Let's keep that momentum going, shall we?
